The walk up the rock was incredible and such a beautiful, historical area. The driver and guide, Puncha, was very helpful in getting tickets and ensuring we knew about the pick up point.
We were taken to a restaurant where we had a delicious lunch which was a real highlight.
The elephant safari was breathtaking. We saw over 100 elephants and Puncha was really knowledgeable about the elephants and other wildlife. He was also great at taking lots of photos for us.
Overall, this was a great experience and we would recommend it to visitors to the area.

Trotz der Neben- und Regensaison (ab Anfang November ist der Park wohl erstmal zu), hatten wir super Glück mit dem Wetter und den Elefanten. Wir haben über 100 Elefanten gesehen, darunter zwei große Herden mit mehreren Babys. Da wir am Vormittag im Park waren, waren wir teils sogar das einzige Auto. Auch weitere Tiere wie Pfauen, Affen, Iguanas, Vögel konnten wir sehen. Unser Fahrer Sudee hat uns sehr viel erklärt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und würden die Tour absolut empfehlen.
Zu beachten: Bargeld mitnehmen, da das Kartengerät  am Parkeingang nicht immer funktioniert (11.000 LKR)

Kumara had a keen eye and spotted so many animals which would have passed us by. He had a great sense of humour and made the tour fun and very enjoyable.

Seeing the elephants in their natural environment was simply magical—peaceful, powerful, and so moving. Watching the little ones play while the larger elephants protected the group was something I will never forget.

But what made the experience truly special were our guides. They were not only very knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind, funny, and sympathetic. From the very beginning, they made us feel comfortable, always smiling and taking the time to explain everything with so much passion. You could feel how much they love nature and want to share it with others. Thanks to them, the safari felt less like a tour and more like an adventure with friends.

If you ever come to Sri Lanka, don’t miss this! The elephants are breathtaking, the landscapes are stunning, and the guides make the whole journey unforgettable. I would give this experience more than five stars if I could!
