We will start the Jeep tour from the main entrance of the Park near the car park.If you
are staying in a hotel that is within a 20km radius of the entrance, you would also have
been entitled to a complimentary pickup from your hotel in Dambulla, Sigiriya, Habarana
or Minneriya. The safari will start at 6:00 am if you selected the morning, or 1:00 pm if
you selected the safari. You will get to see groups of Elephants ,crocodiles resting in the
banks or swimming about the lakes, vibrant birds of prey going fishing and also many
other birds and animals including herds of elephants visiting to quench their thirst and
take a rest.

Our guide Mr Sudee and driver are experienced and confident. We booked the tour on 30 September 2023. It was heavy downpour in Sirigiya when they fetched my family ( me, my husband and my 6 years girl). We were pretty disappointed and expected the worst for our coming tour. But they have assured us that it will be good weather when arrived in Kaudulla National Park. It was true that, when we arrived Kaudulla National Park after around 1 hr drive, the weather is the best we can ever imagine. Sudee because of the rain before, the weather is cooling, compared to the weather one day before which was torturing hot and definitely not the best weather to enjoy the tour since we are encouraged to stand up on the jeep’s seat and enjoy the fresh air without the jeep’s roof. My girl is the one enjoyed the most especially the bumpy jeep ride inside the park with all of us standing up, and using the real binocular to view the elephant. Sudee and his driver also very confident to always bring us to the corner where they expected elephants group will appear, and sure enough we can always get the first hand glance to see the elephant group come out from the forest and some of the elephants even approached our jeep to try communicate with us since we are the only jeep there. Sudee also explained to us how the elephant harvest the grass and throw the mud to clean it before putting them into the mouth. Sudee also took wonderful photos for my family as well. During our drive back to srigiya , Sudee also treated us the best and tasty corn we ever tasted.
